CYO High School Basketball

2019-2020 Basketball Season

The Saint Pius X CYO Basketball Program is pleased to announce registration for the 2019-2020 Season. This year, St. Pius will sponsor a high school team that will participate in the RPP CYO League associated with the Diocese of Norwich.

We invite all interested Parish high school-aged boys to participate.

Completed forms and fees should be dropped off at the Friary Office during office hours.

Registration Fee:

$110.00 per player (make checks payable to "St. Pius X CYO"). The fee may be waived in the event of financial hardship. The fee is set to best approximate Program expenses for the year.

Registration Forms:

This year, there are three forms required by the Parish, League and Diocese:

1. Form No. 1: Registration Form
2. Form No. 2: Medical Consent & Emergency Contact Form
3. Form No. 3: Release and Indemnification Agreement

The forms must be printed, completed, and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Players will not be permitted to practice with the team unless and until all forms are signed and returned.

Registration Deadline:

The registration deadline is December 15, 2019; however, we ask you to return the signed forms at your first opportunity.

Game Schedule:

Regular season games will be played on each Sunday in January and February, with a yearend tournament in early March. Most games will be played at Mercy High School. Other venues include Xavier High School and East Hampton Middle School.

Parish Activities:

The Basketball Program participants will attend a Sunday evening Mass together in January and in February, and all participants must volunteer for at least one Parish event during the regular season.
